Absolute Return Fund Management

Together with its long only fund management companies, Pacific has also successfully developed fund management businesses specialising in absolute return products focusing on equities, fixed income and derivatives. These businesses include Thames River Capital and Nevsky Capital. In addition the Real Estate Division of the group provides products for investors using the derivatives markets.

Pacific is introduced to a steady flow of hedge fund management investment opportunities. Pacific performs due diligence on these with a view to them forming part of a joint venture structure with the group. With its established infrastructure, Pacific provides the operating platform for these new businesses which includes distribution, marketing, finance, compliance and management services.

Pacific is in the process of establishing a new absolute return fund management business which will focus initially on systematic trend following through managed futures. From this new platform, other strategies will follow including credit, global macro (discretionary) and event driven (recovery cycle).
