Wright, who spent over 15 years at Deutsche Bank in various senior trading roles, joins the firm to advance the expansion of its direct indexing and systematic investing capabilities.
During his time with the bank, Wright played a key role in the expansion of its award-winning fund derivatives business, helping create a robust, risk-controlled infrastructure.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he also established UBS's fund derivatives trading platform.
The appointment follows the hires of HSBC GAM's Will Thompson and AXA IM's Dani Saurymper in August 2020 and May 2021 respectively.
CEO of Pacific AM Matthew Lamb said Wright brings "extensive derivatives trading and first-class risk management expertise which will be hugely important to the business as we look to expand our direct indexing and systematic investing capabilities".
"Pacific has always had a strong focus on technology, infrastructure and risk management and we are delighted Ross is joining the team to help us continue to deliver forward-looking strategies for our clients," he added.
Wright said: "Pacific is a dynamic, progressive asset manager with a highly robust, technology driven, risk-controlled environment. I have known and worked with the team at PAM for many years and I am very excited to be joining them on this exciting next stage of the journey."
